Job Title: Test Automation Architect (Consulting) – Tosca & SAP

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Test Automation Architect with strong expertise in Tricentis Tosca and SAP ecosystems to lead enterprise test automation initiatives.

This role is responsible for defining test automation strategy, architecture, and governance, ensuring scalable, reusable, and audit-ready testing across SAP on-premise and cloud landscapes. The candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to drive automation-first quality engineering practices.

Role Expectations (Architect Level)

• Own end-to-end test automation architecture and strategy
• Define enterprise testing standards, frameworks, and governance models
• Act as a decision-maker for automation tools, frameworks, and integration approaches
• Drive test transformation initiatives across SAP landscapes
• Mentor QA teams and guide stakeholders on best practices

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation Strategy & Architecture

• Define and implement enterprise test automation strategy
• Design scalable frameworks covering:
  • Functional testing
  • Regression testing
  • Integration testing
  • End-to-end business process testing
• Establish reusable, maintainable, and modular automation design principles

Tosca Implementation & Governance

• Lead implementation and optimization of Tricentis Tosca
• Define:
  • Test case design standards
  • Reusable modules and libraries
  • Risk-based testing approaches
• Ensure efficient test execution, reporting, and maintenance strategy

SAP Testing Expertise

• Design automation for SAP landscapes including:
  • SAP S/4HANA (on-prem and cloud)
  • SAP Fiori / UI5 applications
  • SAP Integration Suite (CPI)
  • SAP BTP applications
• Handle complexities such as:
  • Dynamic UI elements
  • Data dependencies
  • End-to-end process validation

Integration with DevOps & ALM

• Integrate Tosca with:
  • SAP Solution Manager / Cloud ALM
  • Jira / ServiceNow / Azure DevOps
  • CI/CD pipelines
• Enable:
  • Automated test execution in pipelines
  • Test result synchronization
  • Traceability from requirement to test execution

Test Data & Environment Strategy

• Define test data management strategy
• Ensure availability and consistency of test environments
• Manage:
  • Test data creation and masking
  • Environment coordination across landscapes

Quality Governance & Reporting

• Define quality gates and release readiness criteria
• Establish:
  • Test coverage metrics
  • Defect tracking and reporting
  • Audit-ready test evidence
• Provide insights for continuous quality improvement

Consulting & Customer Engagement

• Conduct workshops to:
  • Assess current testing maturity
  • Identify automation opportunities
  • Define transformation roadmap
• Create:
  • Test strategy documents
  • Automation frameworks and guidelines
  • Implementation plans and runbooks

Delivery & Enablement

• Lead automation implementation and rollout
• Support:
  • UAT, SIT, and regression cycles
  • Cutover and hypercare phases
• Train and mentor teams on automation best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in test automation / QA architecture
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
  • Tricentis Tosca (mandatory)
  • SAP testing (S/4HANA, Fiori, etc.)
• Proven experience in:
  • Designing enterprise test automation frameworks
  • Implementing risk-based and model-based testing
• Strong understanding of:
  • SAP business processes
  • End-to-end integration testing
  • Test lifecycle and quality governance
• Experience integrating with:
  • ALM tools (SolMan, Cloud ALM, Jira, ServiceNow, etc.)
  • CI/CD pipelines
• Strong stakeholder communication and consulting skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with:
  • SAP BTP and Integration Suite (CPI) testing
  • API testing and service virtualization
• Exposure to:
  • Performance testing tools
  • AI-driven testing approaches
• Certifications in Tosca or SAP testing
