Job Title: SAP DevOps SME / Architect

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP DevOps SME / Architect to lead the design and implementation of end-to-end DevOps and release management architecture across SAP on-premise and cloud landscapes.

This is a hands-on architecture role, responsible for assessing customer environments, defining enterprise DevOps operating models, and guiding what needs to be in place across processes, tools, governance, and integrations to enable automated, scalable, and audit-ready SAP releases.

Role Expectations (Architect Level)

• Own end-to-end SAP DevOps architecture for customer landscapes
• Define enterprise standards, governance models, and best practices
• Act as a decision-maker for DevOps tooling, processes, and integration patterns
• Drive large-scale DevOps transformation programs
• Mentor teams and guide stakeholders across business and technical functions

Key Responsibilities

• Own and define SAP DevOps architecture across:
  • SAP S/4HANA (on-prem and cloud)
  • SAP BTP Solutions/Services
  • SAP Integration Suite (CPI, APIs)
  • SAP Datasphere, SAC, HANA XSA
• Assess current landscape and recommend process, tool, and governance improvements
• Design transport and deployment strategies
• Define release cycles, pipelines, approval workflows, and quality gates
• Design and align ALM processes across SolMan, Cloud ALM, Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps
• Define retrofit strategy for parallel development and multi-landscape scenarios
• Ensure dependency management, sequencing, downgrade protection, and conflict resolution
• Architect integrations using APIs/webhooks across SAP and enterprise tools
• Define testing strategy (unit, regression, integration) with audit-ready evidence
• Lead implementation using release automation platforms (e.g., ReleaseOwl)
• Conduct customer workshops, solutioning, and DevOps roadmap definition
• Support cutover, hypercare, and enterprise adoption

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in SAP / DevOps / ALM / Release Management roles
• Strong expertise in:
  • SAP S/4HANA (on-prem and/or cloud)
  • SAP BTP and Integration Suite (CPI, APIs)
  • SAP transport management (STMS and cloud models)
  • SAP BTP (Destinations, Cloud Connector), CAP / MTAR deployments
• Hands-on experience with:
  • SAP Solution Manager
  • SAP Cloud ALM
  • Jira / ServiceNow / Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of:
  • Release governance and lifecycle
  • Retrofit, parallel development, and conflict handling
  • Multi-landscape SAP environments
• Proven experience in designing DevOps architectures (not just tool configuration)
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and communication skills

Nice to Have

• SAP BTP (Destinations, Cloud Connector), CAP / MTAR deployments
• Test automation tools (e.g., Tosca) Experience
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling exposure
• Experience with release automation platforms (e.g., ReleaseOwl or similar)
